Looking back at my diary, it brings back the feelings I had at the time. It’s like reliving it. To have been that size, becoming that size literally all my life and having to live with it - to see it starting to drop off was the biggest high. It was fuelling me to carry on*- with each pound I was losing, I was saying goodbye to a body I hated being trapped within.

It also reminds me of the trouble I had with my legs and knees. I still have the scarring on my legs as a constant reminder. They had been under so much

strain for those years and it’s a wonder I hadn’t done permanent damage to them; just the cosmetic shame I now suffer.
